What makes a good panel member?

All types of people. We're looking for independent thinkers, good listeners and communicators with great negotiating skills and the ability to keep a level head in difficult situations. You could be what we're looking for if you're able to:
  • Commit the time
  • Listen to all sides of a story
  • Make difficult decisions
  • Process information
  • Empathise with children

Panel members are ordinary people like you who have chosen to do something extraordinary and make a positive contribution to children who are at risk in their community.

You don't need any formal qualifications. However, to apply you must be aged 18 or over and all applications are subject to a police check through the Disclosure Scotland system.

If you're not sure if it's for you, try answering our ten Do you fit the bill? questions.
