BEING A PANEL MEMBER IN AYRSHIRE

As part of your role as a Panel Member in Ayrshire you will be expected to commit to sit on two children's hearings every month and also to attend at least five learning and development opportunities per year.

Ayrshire Area Support Team (AST) consists of three local authorities - East Ayrshire, North Ayrshire and South Ayrshire. Prospective panel members are expected to live or work within the geographical boundaries of one local authority area but may have the opportunity to sit as a panel member in any area within Ayrshire.

HEARINGS SCHEDULE

East Ayrshire - Kilmarnock and Ayr: Monday afternoon, Tuesday morning and afternoon, Wednesday morning (fortnightly in Ayr), Thursday afternoon (fortnightly in Kilmarnock), Friday morning.

North Ayrshire - Irvine (Hearings at Kilmarnock and on Isle of Arran as and when required): Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning and afternoon, Friday morning.

South Ayrshire - Ayr and Girvan: Monday afternoon, Tuesday and Wednesday morning and afternoon, Thursday morning.
